Good evening,

I've been wrestling with a BSOD issue for 4 days now and can not seem to find a solution. To start of, the bug codes in question are NDIS_DRIVER and sometimes QUOTA_UNDERFLOW.

The BSOD first started anytime I tried to open certain programs like Discord or Chrome. Soon after, it was right after I would start windows. I'll post specs and anything necessary tomorrow when I have more time but I'll give a brief rundown now on the chance that anyone knows a solution.

I have gone so far as to wipe my SSD and HDD, and reinstall Windows 10 - I had a lot of trouble with the Win10 set up because the setup screen would often reset itself (back to where it asks to choose a region). Once I finally did get windows installed, anytime I start installing the updates, I get BSOD. I have tried reinstalling/updating with and without my GTX 1080, with 1 and 2 sticks of ram in different orders, a new power supply, new motherboard. I've tried running in safe mode which will run stable but will not allow me to download updates - the window just flashes and disappears. I tried removing my wireless network USB card and hard wired my internet access, thinking it may be a network driver. This did add some longevity as to how long I could stay in Windows before a BSOD, but again, any use of the internet, especially downloading has induced a BSOD. The only things I haven't replaced are my CPU (which passed a diagnostic test) and my computer case. I have an older graphics card I found try but I doubt it would make a difference. Could this really be caused by something in the case? Did I plug something in wrong? Me and even my IT friends are out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Your UEFI/BIOS (version  0505) dates from 2016.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  This is just in case there has been a more recent update.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Only 2 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most build 15063 (1703) systems have more than this.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available Windows Updates.
The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

This driver has issues in Device Manager:

PCI Simple Communications Controller    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A2BA&SUBSYS_872F1043&REV_00\3&11583659&0&B0    The drivers for this device are not installed.

This driver most likely belongs the the Intel MEI (Management Engine Interface).

Please visit the Asus support website for your motherboard and download/install the latest, W10 compatible version of the software for this driver package

The lone memory dump is one that's not seen often (STOP 0x7C).  Details on it here (but not a lot of useful info for us):  http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html#0x0000007C

But, as it's a networking error, it narrows down our troubleshooting a bit.

Download and update the drivers for any wired, wireless and bluetooth devices that may be installed on this system.

Please note that e1i63x64.sys (the Intel Gigabit Adapter (wired) driver) is the oldest driver in the 3rd party stack below

If that doesn't stop it, then please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions:  http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

Driver Verifier should give us a memory dump that either suggests other 3rd party drivers to check, or will give us Windows drivers (which suggests either a Windows or hardware problem).  BTW - this is why checking Windows Update (as I asked previously) is very important.

Please note that e1i63x64.sys (the Intel Gigabit Adapter (wired) driver) is the oldest driver in the 3rd party stack below

I was actually able to apply some updates this time - I could not before because the BSOD would occur while updating.  Ironically, I removed my case's front panel USB and HD Audio plugs from the mobo and I was able to do a bit more.  For a while, I thought everything was working fine again until I played a game of PUBG with Discord active.  I noticed again that discord would close itself when starting and finishing games, which was usually a symptom of a BSOD about to occur, to which it did.

I was able to install some more updates as well as the drivers necessary for the PCI Simple comm controller.

I just tried to run Discord again and it closed itself, so I sense another BSOD may occur but I am unsure.  Attached is an updated perfmon report and Sysnative file collection for your perusal.  I just find it so odd that ive replaced nearly every part on the machine and did a fresh reinstall of windows.

Also, here is the report from BlueScreenViewer if it helps.  Just got another BSOD.  Tends to happen a lot when I'm using the internet.

This is a classic sign of a hardware problem.  Please list exactly which parts you've replaced (don't need details for now, just the name of the parts).

Then we'll focus on testing the other parts (if tests are available).

Right now all of the BSOD's point to networking components.
I suggest that you physically remove the USB wifi networking device and uninstall it's drivers.

If the BSOD's continue after this, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions:  http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

The latest memory dumps show no 3rd party drivers.  This is usually a sign of either a Windows problem, a hardware problem, or a low-level driver/compatibility issue.

As you have reinstalled Windows, it's not likely to be a Windows problem - which leaves us with hardware or low-level driver/compatibility problems.

Here's the general procedure for hardware problems:

- run ALL of these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

- if ALL of them pass, then run this procedure:  http://www.carrona.org/strpdown.html (FYI - this was designed for desktop systems, it's not easy to apply to laptops).

I have replaced the Mobo, RAM, Power Supply, and SSD.  The wireless USB I was using is a TP Link AC 600 Archer T2UH, which is about a year old - I do think this is the likely culprit.  I will also say that I manually installed the Wireless card's drivers from their website and the issues persisted.  I will try to run the driver verify today and post the results.

There's several possibilities w/Driver Verifier:

- no BSOD (means that the BSOD is likely not a driver issue)

- BSOD blaming Windows drivers/components  (means that it's likely that something is messing with the Windows drivers - as they weren't selected in Driver Verifier)

- BSOD blaming 3rd party drivers (highly unlikely as there were no 3rd party drivers in the previous BSOD's - but if it does, then it still calls for the same old software vs hardware diagnostics)

- BSOD blaming 3rd party networking drivers (most likely points to a hardware problem with that networking device - although it's not 100% certain).

I tried running a hard wired ethernet connection today and everything worked seemingly fine for about 15-20 minutes - I was able to play a game of PUBG with Discord on and then it went back to its usual thing of closing discord and giving me a BSOD - except this time the BSOD error was "Memory_Management"

I attempted to run the Driver Verifier, however, after following the instructions I was not able to succesfully get back into windows, and kept being sent to the screen saying that something was preventing windows from starting.  I ended up having to perform a system restore that I created today to get back into windows.  Upon logging back into windows, I got the NDIS DRIVER error again.

Also, here is the most recent  BSOD dmp file.

Again, I'm mostly getting NDIS_Driver errors, occasionally QUOTA_Underflow, once before something to the effect of System Service Exception or something, and today for the first time MEMORY_MANAGEMENT seen below:

Please run the Sysnative File Collection App again and upload it with your next post.

If there are no Driver Verifier memory dumps, sometimes there is evidence left in the reports.

Attached are the latest Sysnative and perfmon report.

Two things to note: while trying to run sysnative with the ethernet hardwired, I received a BSOD QUOTA_UNDERFLOW about halfway through the process.

Also, sometimes now the computer itself will not fully boot up when pressing the power button.  I hear the fans come on, see my graphics card light up, but not all of the lights on the mother board come on and nothing is transmitted to the monitor.  To fix this and get into windows, I have to fully power down, flip off the power switch, and switch it back on, then press the power button.

The latest memory dumps have networking issues in them.

Also, one of them is one that's often found in systems with hardware problems

BUT, the memory dumps show some very old drivers

So, I would start with physically removing the TPLink device from your system AND uninstalling it's software.  It's driver dates from 2008 (if you have already done this, please let me know)
I'd also uninstall the XFastUSB and XFastLAN programs from the system (as they're know to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems)

Visit the Asus website for your motherboard and update ALL of the drivers there to the latest, W10 compatible versions.
Also update your Logitech Gaming Mouse software (and any other Logitech software that you may have installed)

This will update the software that may have problems.  It also will eliminate the TPLink and it's software from the troubleshooting.

If the BSOD's continue (and if they are still network related), then we'll see about disabling the wired networking in the UEFI to see if that helps.
