Could someone please tell what if any type of video card i could put into this machine to improve things?

Here is a link to the spec page :http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/resources/127/1367041067.pdf

I`m abit confused as to what kind of slot/s i have and if i can fit a card what would suit the power supply (which actually says 300w on the unit and is a Atx-300 GTF by FSP group inc).

Any help would be greatly appreciated,as i`m getting quite muddled with all the info available

Hey, welcome to the site. I had a look at your specs and it says that you're motherboard has a PCI-e slot. This is a good thing, as all new modern graphics cards are moving on to PCI-e. However, your 300w power supply may be limiting in what you can use. In the old ATI series, I wouldn't go past the x700, because of the power restraints. In the new ATI series, I wouldn't go past the x1600, and even with that card your power supply may struggle. Check out www.ati.com for some information on their latest cards and power requirements. Sorry, I don't know much about Nvidia cards.

Thanks for replying.
I looked inside and seem to have a brownish colour slot with a clip, and 2 white slots which say PCI though they don`t look like pci-express slots ?

If that's your motherboard. It has a AGPx4/8. The best card you could get would be somethign like a X700 Pro, or a X1600 Pro, sicne your power supply only has 300 watts. But you should check the 12V rail. See how many Amp's it has on it.
