We've been infected with Ransomware. I've tried ID RANSOMWARE and it's unable to determine the strain. It has thought that it's Cry32 from the encryption txt message but cannot verify the file type test.

All files affected end with Recoverfiles2017@qq.com. The encryption message is as follows:

YOUR SYSTEM IS LOCKED AND ALL YOUR DATA HAS BEEN ENCRYPTED.

DON'T WORRY YOUR FILES AS SAFE.

TO RETURN ALL THE NORMALLY YOU MUST BUY THE DECRYPTOR PROGRAM.

PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY THROUGH THE BITCOIN NETWORK.

YOU CAN GET THEM VIA ATM MACHINE OR ONLINE

THE PRICE FOR DECRYPTOR SOFTWARE IS 0.5 BTC

BTC ADRESS : 1QADcGY7xxYd5CZLTTFmTK9Zn5SahmG3zn

VERRY IMPORTANT !

DO NOT TRY TO SCAN WITH ANTIVIRUS YOU RISK LOSING YOUR DATA .

A few people have uploaded files with that extension. They all look to be encrypted by Xorist based on the pattern. Those who uploaded the ransom note also got it identified as Xorist based on the filename and Bitcoin address used.

Could you try an encrypted file and its original with the Emsisoft Xorist decrypter?

I've added this extension for identification on ID Ransomware.

BLACK_MAMBA, one of the newest variants of Xorist, also used QQ.COM in the extension.

Rather than have everyone with individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if you posted any more questions, comments or requests for assistance in the below support topic discussion.Demonslay335 or one of our other experts can continue to help you from there.

To avoid unnecessary confusion, this topic is closed.
