Good afternoon everyone,

Wasn't sure if this was the most appropriate sub-forum to post my inquiry in;  If not, my apologies.

I've been experiencing a problem (which started a few months ago) when posting in a number of forums that allow BBcode usage to format words and/or sentences.  (I.e., When I click the mouse pointer once on the desired option, the actual BBcode appears at the beginning & end of the word/sentence I've highlighted).

[Problem description]

Normally, as I'm composing a forum post & I highlight a word or sentence by clicking the mouse once on the particular BBcode formatting option I want to use, the code will appear TWICE at the beginning of the word/sentence and twice at the end, instead of ONCE as it should do. (I've attached a screenshot of what I see).  I then have to go and manually remove the extra BBcode insertion.

My question Since this issue is occurring in a number of forums which allow BBcode usage AND actually displays the specific BBcode format option I selected (e.g., Bold, Italics, Underline, Color, etc), while composing the post, I would like to know if this is a problem with the mouse settings in the Control Panel, or the mouse itself, and how can I resolve this problem?

Note:  Unfortunately, I do not have a spare mouse available to test whether this is a problem with the mouse itself.  I've looked at Control Panel > Mouse, but frankly am unsure just what setting(s) to look at.  (Being in my 'senior' years and not very 'techie' presents an impediment, unfortunately).

[System specs]:  Win 7 Home Premium x64, SP1, Intel i3 CPU, 6 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD.

Thank you for your time and any enlightenment!
