When you want to use VPN, is VPN just a "program" that is working together with your (internet) that you allready have and keeps it safe and all that stuff, or is VPN actually an provider which gives you the internet like for example "yousee".

I just dont get it, please help :)

A vpn means you are connecting to something on the other side of the internet.  That can be a vpn server/router at work you use a client to connect to.  It could be a vpn service that is in addition to your ISP.
