Allright, so I wanted to change the options how my scandisk is run, so I change the INI file. However when I do a scandisk, it's like i changed nothing at all. I restart the computer, load the ini file and sure enough, the options that I corrected are still configured the way I set them to be. Any ideas?

just changed the options so they would automatically fix errors instead of asking me every single question, and not to bug me with log files and asking to create a backupdisk.

Did you actually modify the ini file yourself in a text editor - or did you use a dialog in Windows to make changes? If you edited the ini file, please post the code here so we can have a look at it.

yea... I modified the file on another computer which doesn't have internet access... and to transfer the info I would need either a crossover cable *which probably wouldn't work* or buy a external floppy which I don't feel like doing...

So, you edited the file on another system and moved it to this one - but you can't do it now?

Without the code that you modified, there's really no way for us to figure out what the problem is.

The easiest solution, IMO, would be to get a copy of the unedited ini file from another system and see if that works for you.

haha, I have multiple computers, the one I was messing with the ini was my mess around computer, I'm pretty sure it may be because of the fact that the computer was corrupted... but hey, i'll figure it out next time I edit something like that.
