How can I get the thermal paste off of the pins

So I bought this CPU off of eBay it's been used but it says that it was tested and is working but is seems that some thermal paste got on the pins and I want to know the best way to clean it ithout damaging anything.

isopropyl alcohol is a good way to clean thermal paste.

Is it alright if I use alcohol on the pins in the middle? I'm not the biggest computer person so just want to make sure

Make sure isopropyl alcohol is 90% or more pure alcohol. And yes you can use the isopropyl alcohol on the CPU pins make sure you have lint free cloth.
