My computer generally became very sluggish with freezing two days ago. It seemed to occur after I tried to download a .wks file (thought I might be able to convert it) from my e-mail, and downloaded a word doc via internet connection to the outlook e-mail at my job. I have tried the following, not necessarily in this order:

- Deleted old files and unecessary programs (I think).
- Updated and ran adaware, spybot, Panda Active scan, cwshredder and killbox.
- Defragmented.
- For awhile I could not get yahoo to open so I reinstalled AT&T Yahoo and reinstalled the yahoo anti- virus/anti-spy and ran those.
- Downloaded updates and ran the malicious software removal tool.

No viruses were detected and I removed the few adware detected. The computer is running a little better, and I have few problems when on the internet, but, is still slow and occasionally freezes up and closes the program I am in, especially when I try to edit it in Excel.

Here is the Hijack This log.

Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the forum, you are running two antivirus programs, the computer is never going to run right as long as you are doing that. Decide which you want and uninstall the other.
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Antivirus\ISafe.exe
C:\Program Files\NavNT\rtvscan.exe see this information:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.n...000031316555206
"Microsoft recommends that you have only one anti-virus program installed on your computer."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...5120300087.html

C:\Program Files\hijackthis.exe <<< needs a folder, return to there and click a blank spot, make a NEW FOLDER, call it say HJT. Move HijackThis.exe and the log that is there into that folder. If you need more instructions than that, use these:
http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial94.html

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/.../search/ie.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/.../search/ie.html
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com
(next two items are optional, you may leave them if you use them)
O2 - BHO: REALBAR - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-C0FF-FD60B590A87D} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\Real\Toolbar\realbar.dll
O3 - Toolbar: REALBAR - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-C0FF-FD60B590A87D} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\Real\Toolbar\realbar.dll
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} - http://207.188.7.150/1391b8e86af916489222/...ip/RdxIE601.cab
O16 - DPF: {A7EA8AD2-287F-11D3-B120-006008C39542} (CBSTIEPrint Class) - http://offers.e-centives.com/cif/download/bin/actxcab.cab

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post a new HJT log. Let me know how the computer is running now.

Thanks
