Mr Sippi is not my real name, it's so I can say that I'm looking for Mrs Sippi.

I am a retired mechanic and I'm also disabled from a lifetime of heavy work. I'm home a lot and I'm at my computer a lot. My social life consist of talking to y'all from the 4 corners of the world and I've found that we all have a lot in common. It's a small world my friends.  :thumbsup2:

I've been a computer nut since my mom (RIP) brought home a TI 99/4A and a couple of game cartridges. Before then we had an Atari 2600 console and I was hooked on video games. Now the computer had me hooked and to put together computer and video games I found a Commodore 64 computer to be the perfect one.

I learned how to program in Basic and started writing simple games. As I learned more I got into graphics and sound FXes. Then I learned Assembly (machine language) and wrote better games. In fact I sold one to Compute! magazine. I was such a die hard Commodore nut that I hated it when they died out but my friend bought me a 286 system to wean me off.

Now I have an i5-3570 system that I've built in 2012 and going strong. Before then I have an i3-2105 system that I put away in storage for parts to keep the i5 going. I've been building my own since the 386 days.

I've played guitar since the 70s but quit a few years ago. My disabilities are making it hard and I hate to put it up. I sold off a lot of my gear but kept a guitar and amp for an occasional noodle.

I like to read a lot and I'm not too crazy on fiction. I like to read factual stuff and that includes catalogs and manuals.

I like to shoot at the range but not lately because of the rising cost. I'm licensed to carry and I carry my Glock 29 10mm pistol.

I guess I'll meet y'all in the threads.  B)

Welcome to BC !

At least nobody will ever have to say 'RTFM' to you, even if it is an unusual taste in reading matter.

Chris Cosgrove

I am going to be away until about the 22nd October. Time on-line will be reduced and my internet access may be limited. PMs may not be replied to as quickly as normal !

  You may find that unusual but I have a quest for knowledge all my life. Now I'm in my late 60s the knowledge I've amassed had enriched my life. It also got me out of trouble a lot.
