I just replaced the display screen on a Dell Vostro 2510. when I restarted the computer I had four small duplicate images on the laptop display. the duplicate images started at boot up. when I started Windows 7 I still had four duplicate Windows all functional but too small to be usable. if I started Linux instead the display went to normal. likewise if I connect an external monitor I get the correct display on both the laptop screen and the external monitor. I have tried removing and replacing the ram as I saw on some forums. that made no difference. the laptop is a Dell Vostro 2510 with 3gb of RAM. that has Linux Mint and Windows 7 Professional installed. the replacement screen was an exact model number match and was a Dell used display. Thanks!

Sounds like a graphics driver issue to me. Try going to device manager on win7 and uninstalling your graphics driver, then restart the computer.
