I sure hope someone can help. Load error, press any key to reboot is the error
that I get when trying to start my PC. I have reformated my harddrive with my recovery disc, and reloaded the files, and the same thing comes up. I just recently
installed a new dvd burner, but it ran fine for a while then I started to have this problem. I am running Windows ME on a HP Pavillion with a Maxtor 30 gig hard drive. Hope this is enough info. Thanks in advance.

Hi dagget34 & welcome to BC

Have you tried removing your DVD Burner and all related sofware ? Then run a defrag in safe mode. Maybe even re-run your rescue disc and see what happens too.

Post back and let us know.

Hope you enjoy your stay here at BC.
