I did my first Twitter tweet today and discovered that right alongside my username they posted my real name. [So what is the username for?] I do not want my real name spread all over the internet. I couldn't find anything to check in my personal settings to make my name private or in Twitter's "support". I found the same problem w/ Facebook.

Is there a way to have only my username show in Twitter? And in Facebook when I make a comment on another site thru my Facebook ID?
