Hello,

I have consistent BSOD and game/app crashes ( at least once a day ) since the week I built this machine. Most of the time apps keep crashing until finally a BSOD stops it. Afterwards it will either run without problems until I shutdown the pc or keep on crashing like before. Also most of the time a pc restart will postpone the issues.

I believe this is cause by hardware problems because it's the 3rd windows installation but I can't pinpoint the issue.

Thank you for the help,
Paul

· OS - Windows 10 Pro x64
· I build the system from components
· I installed the OS
· Age of system: 3 years old windows only SSD + Power source, ~new hdd, ~new gaming SSD, 9 months old GPU, CPU, Motherboard, RAM

· Atm ~6 months and this is the 3rd instalation

· CPU- 6700k no OC
· Video Card - GTX 1070 ( worked fine for >1 month on my previous pc )
· MotherBoard - ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming
· Power Supply - Coolermaster GX Lite 700W

· Desktop

I'm late for work, bt wanted to get you started.

Please start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Please complete ALL of the tests and let us know the results.

I'll try to analyze your uploads no later than tomorrow morning.

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Your UEFI/BIOS (version 1206) dates from 2016.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  This is just in case there has been a more recent update.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Although you appear to have a reasonable number of Windows Update hotfixes for this version of your OS, please double check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.  The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

C: drive only has about 8% free space.  Windows likes 15% free space in order to perform stuff "behind the scenes" without adversely affecting the system's performance.  Please free up 15% on ALL hard drives (you can get away with 10% on larger drives and won't notice a large performance penalty).  Low free space can cause BSOD's - but the actual amount depends on the files being used by the system.

Many errors with ATKEX_cmd.exe in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report.

This post suggests that it's your Realtek Audio drivers:  https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/11/350540974003273998/

Please:

- download a fresh set of the latest, W10 compatible Realtek audio drivers

- uninstall the current Realtek audio drivers

- install the freshly downloaded drivers

- monitor for further problems.

Out of 20 memory dumps there were 8 different BSOD  (aka STOP or BugCheck) error codes.  The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things (the list is not in any sort of order):
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- dirt/dust/hair/fur/crud inside the case.  Blow out the case/vents with canned air (DO NOT use an air compressor or vacuum as they can cause damage to the system)
- missing Windows Updates
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers), older systems, or even pirated systems
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from http://www.carrona.org/initdiag.html or http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html ).

Please get a head start on the hardware diagnostics - they are located here:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html
Please finish ALL of them and let us know the results

Please ensure that MalwareBytes is fully updated.  IMO the best way to do this would be to follow the instructions from this post at MalwareBytes:  https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/202591-cannot-use-windows-explorer-keeps-crashing/?do=findComment&comment=1134738

Please note that the post is for one particular version of MBAM - but my suggestion is to update to the latest version.

Thank you very much for your response.

I ran memtest86 v4.20 downloaded from your website twice: first with just 1 mem chip and it showned no error after 2 passes and 2nd run with both chips (I had some booting issues, my mistakes probably) and it had 86 errors. All of those errors were related to the 2 most significant bits from multiple consecutive addresses from some memory blocks. I will let the test run overnight and I will try to find out which chip has problems and try to only use the other one to see if I still have problems or not. Also I have ordered a new GPU (upgrade) and after it gets here I will do a clean windows install + bios update so I won't run the rest of the tests until I've done that.

Another thing, the drive letters from the logs are probably bad because my Windows drive is not the drive with 8% space remaining but my Games drive: http://i.imgur.com/YX0lw02.png

My mistake on the Games drive - sorry!.  I didn't look at the report closely - and the Games drive is the A: drive (not the C: drive as I assumed).

I was confused by it being the top drive in the list  Most current systems don't use the A: or B: drive designation - as they used to be reserved for the floppy disk drive(s) in the old days.

Good luck with the hardware upgrades!  I'll get notified by email when you reply back.
