I've just installed a clean Vista Sp2, and thanks to fantastic Imacri post the Windows Update issue it's faded.

Now i would like to ask what you think about Optional Update (apart from drivers) specifically for an EOL product like Vista.

Are they worth of being installed or, as i always heard, they just overload the S.O. and are useless for a home pc?
