Google Makes Me a Criminal  Sex Pervert (btw I’m a 74 yr old woman, an activist on child porn issues)

Re: Gmail account: [e-mail address redacted]   youtube channel: caringpro (I think)

I was notified  by gmail, via my gmail, to go to my you tube channel. On my channel, It seems someone posted the most horrible, cruel child pornography. I am an activist about these issues. I reported it. Now I am being treated as if I am the perpetrator. I have been blocked from everything google, which is almost everything.. My gmail has been shut down, maps down, playstore, & my you tube channel is down, & I can’t watch anything else on you tube. I don't know what it has done to my reputation. I guess  there is more that I have yet  to find out about.   I cannot reach a human at google. Google request to restore via Computerized forms are getting me nowhere. I have filled out several. I am expecting some important emails. My business is set back because I can't access my gmail. My bank has notified me that they can’t access my email. I have lost access to all my contacts.  I am a disabled senior. At this time, I’m experiencing some severe medical problems. I may be hospitalized. My medical providers can’t reach me. I need to email my contacts. There are a lot of important parts of my life being interfered with.

Right now I can be reached at [e-mail address redacted]

Can anyone help?

If you have followed these instructions for hacked YouTube accounts, then there is nothing to do but wait, or create an email account on another site such as Outlook.com and inform your contacts of the change...

Create a new email account and just forget about Google. I don't use Google, so I am sure that there is life without Google.

Questions: Google only responds by algorhythms. No humans read or respond. Thus I should be apealing to algorythsms?  My daughter suggested I remove all cookies. Question:

1.Will that remove all my data from my cpu? Question:

2. if I remove all cookies, what else will be removed?

3. How do you remove cookies?

4. Do the experts on Bleeping  believe that will work to get my emails & contacts. It would also be nice to have my youtube postings sin the obvious that I don't want. I have some videos there that are valuable to me.

This has gone on   since approx. May 25 ,2017 despite numerous phone calls & filling out numerous computerized forms. Following all the steps google offers for hacked accts. I have sent an email informing them that they are violating their contract posted on their website: ie they must give reasonable notice if taking stuff down.

Meanwhile ADVICE: Learn from my error. Don't put your whole life in a google basket!

Removing cookies will not delete any data except cookies from your computer.

The easiest way to delete cookies is not to collect them in the first place. Look in the 'Options' in whichever browser you use to see if you can select a setting 'Delete cookies when I close the browser' or words to that effect. As well, you could choose 'Never remember history'. You do need some cookies to make web-sites run properly but there is no need to keep them permanently.

One way to remove cookies, and other temporary files cluttering up your computer, is to use Piriform's Ccleaner, which is available as a free download from BC -

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/ccleaner/

It is safe to use the default settings although you can modify these if you wish. Just one point. Ccleaner contains, as one component, a registry cleaner. Please do NOT use this tool, the use of registry cleaners in general is not advised on BC.

Unhappily, deleting cookies from your computer will not resolve your problem with Google, it will not get you back your emails and YouTube access. This is because Google have put a lock on your log-ins and only they can remove it.

You will see that I have merged your second topic with this one. It is policy on BC to have only one topic on any one problem, this prevents confusion both to you and to those replying to you. Finally, I am going to bring this problem to the attention of the staff in case anybody has experience of getting Google accounts restored.

A CPU is just a processor, it stores ZERO information.

Cookies are stored locally on your computer, what web browser do you use? You can just use DuckDuckGo to find out how to remove all cookies from your web browser.

In the end there is nothing that's going to be done on a user's local machine that can resolve this problem.

Sadly, my experience with Google, even though I use and love many of their products, is that getting any sort of support that involves a living person is impossible.  Believe me I've tried on more than one occasion.

Given the context that has been presented here, were I the original poster, I would be seeking legal counsel.  In this age of mandated reporting it will be important to prepare to defend oneself legally.  Professional advice outside the IT realm is going to be necessary if one wants to be proactive and get out ahead of what could very well be coming.

Exactly what I was thinking Brian. At the very least I would call the local law enforcement and start a legal complaint.

I believe that Brian (aka Bri The Tech Guy) is correct, lawyer up & hope for the best. :)

After all, if the authorities believed you were part of this, you'd need an attorney for another reason, being arrested & at a minimum, any & all of your computing devices, to include any external hard drives seized & even if innocent, returned in a ransacked manner (like a suspected drug dealer's vehicle). There's no such thing in the US (except for the wealthy/politically connected) in real World life as 'innocent before proven guilty', read the news or ask around, even some 'non- or disconnected' citizens of wealth are locked away w/out bond until trial & released only after being found not guilty. Should an investigation determine that the IP address of the posting is the same as yours (spoofed), or no way to determine, you (as owner of the account) becomes the prime suspect. This is a serious offense & you should retain counsel for when needed, as most all of these incidents are investigated at the State & Federal levels, being on the Internet would fall into the Fed category.

As far as Google support, just like Outlook.com & many other free email providers, the only customers (not to include Free users) who gets service are those who pays yearly for the privilege. Free users not being true customers, are at the mercy of these outfits of getting support, and many who has an account tied to their ISP has issues, because they didn't 'uptier' to the next level.

Finally, as stated in my first sentence, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of retaining counsel ASAP, as this is a Felony offense with serious consequences. Tell the entire truth as you can't describe all in details here, and if by chance the authorities come knocking, don't say anything (not a word in regards to the offense) until your attorney is present. If they want to question you, ask 'Do you have a warrant?', if no, tell them to leave & contact your attorney, they'll be back with one. Follow any & all advice that your attorney provides, the authorities are not your friends & you should answer questions only in his/her presence. I speak from first hand experience, not hearsay, although over a much lesser offense (driving while impaired, 2nd offense) committed over 35 years ago. Then took another 10 years after the penalty phase was over to obtain quality employment, having to prove my suitability for gainful employment to society over & over, beginning with minimum wage jobs & steadily inching forward until a huge opportunity came my way & took full advantage, through hard work, advancing my way into management positions that normally required a college/university degree.

Only then, less than a month shy of my 31st birthday, felt that I finally fully paid my debt to society & the ghost that lingered over me for a decade was lifted from my shoulders. :)

Please don't allow the same to happen to you by needing a court appointed attorney, often termed as 'chain-gang' lawyers, are paid a flat rate for their services & the chances of getting a quality one are about as good as hitting the Powerball jackpot with a $2 ticket. Be proactive before an investigation is launched or are charged & your chances of coming out ahead will be far better. The Google/YouTube accounts can be re-created, or it may be best just to stay away from the latter, GMail accounts are easy to obtain, although you'll need another recovery email address & cell phone for text resets if locked out. Chances are, both of these has been blocked. You may even need a VPN to shield your true IP address, which may also have been blacklisted.

Yet like Rocky stated above, there is life after Google, and may I add, YouTube as well. :)

May I also add, that it's always best to have two active email accounts at all times, this way your bank, doctors & other contacts can reach you should one be cutoff. :)

Similar to most any business asking for day & evening phone numbers, two are always better than one. This doesn't apply to YouTube accounts, and as stated, you should simply back away, most any attorney would advise the same. That would be like returning to the scene of the crime (which captures more criminals than many would think), of which there was one committed by your description of what happened.

Obviously someone hacked your account, a link to bad conduct can be simply reported & dealt with fast, if your account was hacked, you had either a weak password or someone that knows you discovered your credentials (or had direct access to your computer while your back was turned & logged in to YouTube) & posted the content. We cannot offer legal services here per Forum policy, other than to advise to seek counsel to assist in the matter & possibly defend you should charges be pressed.

At this stage, the best thing that you can hope for is that the content wasn't posted from your IP address, which would prove that your account was hacked, this happens many times per second Worldwide, often from weak passwords, or someone (often a script kiddie) breaking into your router. Router lockdown is one of the most often overlooked part of one's security portal. Many leaves the defaults, which broadcasts the make/model of router, of which anyone can perform a Google search on & find the credentials for fast access. It's best to first, rename the network, change all passphrases to complicated ones, disable remote administration & UP&P if not needed, as well as enable the NAT Firewall, which is better than the one on the computer, regardless of brand of Internet Security.

You must look at all possible causes, one by one & eliminate leaks by proper settings & strong passphrases. While this may sound like a hard task, it's not, all you need is the router's manual, can be found online for most. There's usually a Web access page that consists of an address separate from the actual IP & where changes can be made, then click Apply at the prompt (which may cause your router to be auto rebooted to complete changes). Passphrases must be complex, consisting of upper/lower case letters, numbers, and at least 2 or 3 of the following keys spaced apart (`!@#$%^&*()_+=-`). The more special characters, the stronger the passphrase. This is to also include all of your accounts, email, bank, healthcare providers, any site that requires a password & don't use the same for everything.

Hopefully this will be soon resolved & you can put it past you. In the meantime, create another email account using a strong passphrase as above & give to those who needs it, the ones that you're expecting to hear from, there's many no-cost email services, Outlook.com is one of the largest & competes with GMail, avoid Yahoo & AOL due to high infection rates, these corporations are desperate for cash & willing to accept ad dollars with lenient background checks, why it's bast to go with a major provider. I use Outlook for important matters, Gmail for Forums, and disposable email accounts for when registering for a free piece of software, because I know that I'll be spammed like crazy.

Getting a new email account so that others can reach you should be of utmost importance in order to do business with & re-establish personal contacts (I keep an address book of my contacts using Notepad, to include email details, on two encrypted USB drives & important ones on my mobile phone), and make it a point to backup contacts, with Outlook.com, this is possible, to include entire emails. Please don't bother with connecting another YouTube account to Outlook, you don't want lightning to strike twice. There are other ways to support your cause, one is donating to an existing one, be it cash or volunteering your time. :)

Don't get me wrong, YouTube is a powerful resource, helped me a lot in learning to repair/build computers & many other tasks, although have no desire to have my own channel. Your Topic reaffirmed yet another reason as to why.

Cat1092, you said the following:

"I cannot emphasize enough the importance of retaining counsel ASAP, as this is a Felony offense with serious consequences. Tell the entire truth as you can't describe all in details here, and if by chance the authorities come knocking, don't say anything (not a word in regards to the offense) until your attorney is present. InventJoy, please do what Cat1092 described.  It is very important that you do so.

One more thing: Law Enforcement (likely the FBI) needs to be notified in regards to searching for the criminal that put disgusting child porn onto your YouTube channel.  Hacking is an offense, but that offense is dwarfed by the offense of child pornography.  I'm surprised YouTube didn't contact the FBI, if they had contacted them then surely you would have been contacted.

InventJoy, I wish you all the best in regards to this matter and your ill health.
