recently got infected with launchpad hijacker/trojan. Was able to unlock admin group policy lock and change browser back to Google in chrome. ran malawarebytes anti-malware and Hitman pro and remove the infected files. Still randomly getting an open tab to https://launchpage.org/?uid=oTlKBKjdhx0cXu8CgyZ7K1Gg89qdUE0L%2F%2BuOJ%2Fde2%2FRWFZQHQ8%2BxzSmJ%2FABZOGF4tMW8 when I open my chrome. I have reset Chrome back to default and CCleaner...it still randomly opens that tab.. not sure what I am missing. can someone help me get this off my laptop.

thanks
Benny

Surprised that Malwarebytes didn't clean it...Launchpad has been around for a while.

Download and run the free adwCleaner and Junkware Removal Tool...

I think there is also a Windows Service it uses to reload itself.

Click Start, type services in the Search box, and click on the services entry with the "gear" icon.

Scroll down and see if you can see a service running for Launchpad.

Try booting into Safe Mode with Networking, running Chrome, and remove the extension.
