you can download and install linux mint for free, no need to send away for it,

go into device manager and check your wireless adapter status, is there a yellow flag by it or anything else?

does your laptop have a switch or a button to turn wireless on or off?

What is the make and model of the computer? If custom build, make and model of MB.

Right click each device with a yellow exclamation mark. Select Properties and under the Details tab select Hardware IDs in the dropdown box. Copy and Paste the first line of each device into a text file. Copy the file to a USB flash drive. Copy and post the contents of the text file into your next post.
