I need to remove/Delete one old stubborn Windows Folders on an External Backup in Windows 10, but Windows 10 will not allow me to do it.  Most of the Folders  there can be manipulated, but not this one, I think it is called "Desktop"  This is for a friend, so I'm a little short on details until I get there and take a closer look.

I would use Puppy but am not very good with puppy, so I'll use Linux Mint Mate 17.1 for now but will bring a Puppy Disk with me also just in case.  As I understand, Puppy is always Root, but to make things easier on me, would like to do this from Mint.  Any help would be very appreciated as to how to run as Root.  I've looked it up but not completely sure still.  Maybe there is an option to open a Folder as Root in the File Manager?

Thanks, pcpunk

sudo su -

I copy pasted it, and there appears to be a Space after "su", and before "-" does that sound correct to you guys?

<need to know the attrib command from windows console>

Sometimes files and folders mysteriously get locked by an unknown entity.

I had this problem because when they are locked they (couldn't be moved or something)

in windows console.

FOR /F "delims=" %%a IN ('dir /s /b *.torrent') do attrib -a -r -s -h "%%a"
