I'm troubleshooting my sister's computer remotely via TeamViewer.

Her system is generating an unnamed print file of 33k every 2 minutes.

I ran Malwarebytes and found Newtabtv, Reimage, Yontoo and Speeditup.  Deleted all.  Then ran AdwCleaner.  It found coupon printer.  I had it delete all.

Checked event viewer and discovered the system was generating disk errors.

I set up chkdsk to run and fix the errors.  First reboot after that, could not log into the system.  Shut it down and booted again.  Came up saying it was fixing errors.  Logged in normally.

I checked and the system is still generating unnamed print files every 2 minutes.

She is running Windows 10, upgraded from Windows 8.

Does she have a virus or is it something else?

Thanks so much for your consideration.

Final update:

I ran Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner again and they both came up clean.  Ran Chkdsk again and it was clean.

Selected Remove Device from printer menu and rebooted.  When the system came back up, the printer was there, but no print files were being generated.

Don't know what happened but all appears to be well.
