Hi all

I am working on a personal in home website that runs on a Raspberry Pi. I am trying different layouts and I have started setting up a two column layout. The problem I am having is that the left column will not go all the way to the footer. The left column only has a few links to websites and the text on the right side drops in under the links. I have tried using;

#left {
float: left;
width: 20%;
min-height: 200em;       // I originally had this set to min-height: 100em; changing to 200em made it go down farther but not all the way to footer.

#right {
float: left;
width: 75%;

#footer {
border-top: 5px green solid;
background-color: #ebee21;
clear: both;
font-size: .75em;
font-style: italic;
text-align: center;

The CSS two column entry I am using is from HTML5 and CSS3 for Dummies book.

I am building this with HTML5 and php and have LAMP server setup on the Pi.

I am trying different layouts and this has me stumped.

Thank you
