Hi,

You folks helped me clean up my work system last week and, much to my frustration, my wife's computer seems to have picked up something that I can't get rid of and can't figure out what's causing it.

I've done all the recommended steps such as virus scans, spybot, etc. Found some adware and malware and removed it. Only partial success.

Before this, she was unable to compose messages on Yahoo because the composing text box did not show up. That seems to be ok now (I just tested).

But it has not corrrected the other problem.

As soon as the computer boots up there is a popup window "Network Connections". It says

"You (or a program) have requested information from
2.felony-productions.net. Which connection do you want to use?"

We only have one broadband connection. Below are three buttons - Settings, Connect and Cancel plus a tick box that says Don't ask me again until next time I log on.

Clicking Settings brings up the Autodial Preferences panel. Click Connect and the message goes away but I'm sure that something is then accessing the net. Click Cancel and the window just pops up again in a few seconds. It will stay away if you click the Don't ask box until next time the computer is booted up.

Here is my HijackThis scan.
