Currently Thunderbird is me default mail app but when I want to email from websites, I'd rather have Gmail open than Thunderbird. Is there some way to do this?

TIA,

mrzee

Gmail is not an app, but a web service which is provided by Google. So You cannot use it as program, but as service.

You could add your Gmail account to Thunderbird using IMAP and then set that Gmail account as the default account. Then when a website opens Thunderbird using the "sendto" command, it will open a new message to be sent using your Gmail account.

That is a great solution.  This is the first time I've seen this option posted. :thumbup2:
