Ran msconfig... found some weird files. For example:
n4g5uvrn60.exe
5gkwr5h7mg.exe

I have mcafee and spykiller.

Posted on Dell Community Forum. Someone recommended HJT. Then ran HJT.

What can I delete? What must I delete? Other ideas welcome. Here is log:

Hi
To begin with you have at least 21 programs starting when you boot up your system.
That is just sucking the living daylights out of your system.
What I feel is best to do is shut down, via msconfig, everything EXCEPT these programs:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [VSOCheckTask] "c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcmnhdlr.exe" /checktask
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UpdReg] C:\WINDOWS\UpdReg.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SAUpdate] "C:\Program Files\Comcast\BBClient\Programs\SAUpdate.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SAClient] "C:\Program Files\Comcast\BBClient\Programs\RegCon.exe" /admincheck
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MCUpdateExe] C:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\McUpdate.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MCAgentExe] c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\mcagent.exe files\mcafee.com\agent\mcagent.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [diagent] "C:\Program Files\Creative\SBLive\Diagnostics\diagent.exe" startup
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ComcastSUPPORT] C:\Program Files\Support.com\bin\tgkill.exe /cleaneahtioga /start
"c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsshld.exe"
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SpyKiller] C:\Program Files\SpyKiller\spykiller.exe /startup
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BestPopUpKiller] C:\Program Files\BestPopUpKiller\BestPopupKiller.exe /startup

as you can see the ones that are left open deal with your virus scanner and other security type applications, and your Dell and Comcast support.
The rest of the applications can be lauched manually when needed. You should see your computer perform a bit better with all those other apps. closed.

There are some strange inserts on your HJT log, but I don't feel certain enough to advise you on the corrections so wait till someone with that expertise get's back to you to be safe.
These 2 for sure are strange:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [n0cnuwh3kd] C:\WINDOWS\n4g5uvrn60.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [kx7c7olwy5] C:\WINDOWS\5gkwr5h7mg.exe

I hope this helps you out some.
Regards,
Steve
