Hi all

So for some reason certain software programs do not display right in Windows 10. The latest culprit is Stellar Phoenix Photo recovery software. The text and options are all bunched up or disappear over the edges. I have tried to fiddle with settings in both display options and in the programs properties but to no avail. It really makes using the software difficult if not impossible as certain buttons and options cant be seen or selected. Half the time I cant maximise the window but even when I can it makes no difference to how it is displayed. I am using a 4k tv as a monitor if that helps but all webpages and most programs run ok.

Any advise would be most welcome.

Many thanks.

Hi :welcome: to BleepingComputer

I suspect you have the DPI settings set to something higher than 100% and there are many applications out there not programmed to handle this correctly!

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5990-change-dpi-scaling-level-displays-windows-10-a.html

There are application that store some settings related to windows sizes, etc. during install or on first start, in those cases changing the DPI will not make the program work properly without reinstalling the program!

Try to run in compatibility mode. Most probably must select Windows 8 or Windows 7. (Right click on icon and Properties => Compatibility and select something)
If no positive result, then simply this is software problem.
