A lot has been said about TR, for better or worse, though the banks do recommend using it, and its principle of creating a safer connection does seem to make sense.

However its not that reliable in that it sometimes just appears to stop working , or as has happened with Firefox upgrading to v53 several weeks ago, TR will only run on the previous version v52.

As the bank said, use the latest version of FF without TR as the FF update is more important/safer

TR Rapport can only be used in Windows with FF or Chrome, and  I do not feel happy about the privacy when using Chrome /Google .

There used to be free Safe Banking  routines from places like Bit Defender, but seems these are now only as part for the full /paid for security suites.

Any suggestions of a free or low cost program that gives as good or better online banking protection than TR  or any comment if such a program is really necessary when reasonable pc safety is followed  ?
