My wife is unable to hear Cortana speak. Checked Sound, that is fine. Made sure Cortana is enabled. I am lost as to why can't hear her speak.

  1. Right-click on the sound icon in the right side of your taskbar and go to Playback devices
  2. Disable the Digital output that you’re not using

You can also uninstall and install latest version of audio card driver.

Yes, tried both suggestions still nothing. Is there some where in that program where it may be muted. Just 2 weeks ago we had to bring the PC into the Geek Squad because it would not Boot. They reinstalled Windows 10 installation software, could that have cause the problem/

Give this a whirl.  It can't hurt:

Try to find a reputable shop to have your PC checked if you can't resolve this.

I have to upgrade her computer from Windows 10 "1607" to Creator's Version 1703 so maybe this will fix the problem, if not I will have to go to the next step. Thank you all for help.
