Hi BC,

Hello, i'm new in here!! :bubbles:

I have a Acer VN7-591G-750F for a little over a year and despite small fails its been good to me.

I want to upgrade my storage and maybe someone in bleepingcomputer has an idea.

Right now i have 256gb internal SSD  (Liteon L8T-256L9G)

I'm thinking 128-256 gb SSD upgrade

My problems are:

Is there room for one more SSD?

Which SSDs are compatible with my laptop. What should i look for?

The only reference i can find for this exact laptop is http://icecat.us/p/acer/nx.muved.026/notebooks-VN7-591G-750F-26990394.html and i can't find anything about slots for SSDs there.

This is the SSD http://www.liteonssd.com/datasheet/LiteOn.L9G.US.lores.pdf

I'm looking at a budget around 90 eur

Another thing is, when i go to dxdiag, it says my geforce 960m has ca. 8125 MB??? I thought it only had 2GB. Can it be true?

Any Help is much appreciated.

Best regards Panterpanter

There is no space for another SSD. You can switch current one though.

960M uses system memory, so DXDiag probably shows memory amount of larger RAM module. Just ignore that.

Thanks Drillingmachine.

I will..

I read that there is 5mm or 7mm SDDs. Does it matter. source: http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/do-more/upgrade-laptop-with-ssd-master-dm/

thanks again!!

No because that's M.2 SSD, not SATA. Size seems to be 2280. And it probably needs to be SATA type, not NVME.

I said M.2, not SATA.
