Hi, this is DrMidnight. I'm a brand new member to your community. I got a late start in learning modern computers and in the past year or so I've actually gone from being afraid to even turn on the computer to actually putting together inexpensive upgraded or new custom computers where I now have the fastest and stable computer with the most internal HDD memory (4 TB (2 x 2 TB Hitachi HDDs, refurb.$60.)) in the house. The computer has a bargain AMD 5350 CPU which came with a free ASUS AM1M-A MB $40, one 8GB Ballistic RAM(~$24), plus a PCI-e card with 2extra SATA ports($15) to run an extra CD/DVD read/write (2 x $9) and an interesting combo of about 7 different cooling fans in various places($2 to $10) if you include 2 fans the 650W power-supply (used ~$15) all inside an old fashioned (~19y.o.) case running Win-7-64 bit, and I've been trying new tricks & downloaded programs and I haven't Blown anything yet.........BUT.....I am still a beginner compared to all of you other computer-enthusiasts who know how to do 5 times as many things out there as I do. I am a 54 y.o. 'boy', with a Physics degree/former NASA Engineer and later a Doctor of medicine (but the BS in Physics was easily 3 times as hard as the Medical Dr. Degree ! Trust me !!) But I was barely literate in Computers and just now trying to catch up. So please don't be afraid to tell me anything,......I'm here to learn from anybody and I will always be polite & thankful.
