Incompatible?

Have been running Heimdal Free for software updating  for months alongside KIS without issue.

Starting this week both Kaspersky & Hitman Pro (uses Kaspersky engine among others) identified Heimdal as malware (is it due to Wannacry updates?).

Today, Heimdal was reported by both as Ransomware.

Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.

Most likely a false positive.

You should submit a sample to the vendor so they can investigate and take corrective action if confirmed. How to Report Malware or False Positives to Multiple Antivirus Vendors

Hitman Pro...Submit false positives to BitDefender, Kaspersky, and Emsisoft as Hitman Pro uses the same signatures.

Once a file is received, a researcher can examine it in more detail and provide a report letting you know the results. You should also contact and advise the program vendor that one of their files is being detected as a threat. In many cases they will work with the anti-virus techs in an attempt to resolve the detection.
