For a number of months I've been getting random BSODs.  Or at least I'm un-able to tie it to anything I'm doing at the time.  They seem to be increasing in frequency.  Thanks for any help/direction you can provide.

Hi, Annette,

None of the dump files are recent. I do notice a lot of Live Kernel Events, let's have a look at them.

:step1: Upload Live Kernel Event Dump Files

• Press and hold the Windows Key + R on your keyboard at the same time.
• Type in %WinDir%\LiveKernelReports and hit Enter on your keyboard.
• If prompted to take permissions of that folder, please do so.
• Copy/paste the entire contents of that folder to your Desktop.
• Zip up (use .ZIP!!!) those files and attach them in your next reply.

Since this is an older system, I am primarily more worried with hardware. Anyway, let's try the following:

Hi Bwv848,

Boy am I glad to hear from you!  The computer hangs & blue screens are getting more and more frequent.

I attached the zipped watchdog folder.  I will also start going down the list the things you mentioned.

Btw, Even with zipping, the file was too large.  So I removed all all of the .dmp files from 2016 and Jan, 2017. There are still plenty to look at though.

Thanks!

Annette

Hi, Annette,

All the dumps as expected blame your graphics driver. Please reinstall it. Instructions may be found here, and the download link for your model is here.

Thanks Bwv848 for the info!  I actually had a fair amount of trouble re-installing the AMD drivers, instructions didn't really match my PC, but after tinkering around I may have completed it.  I'll run for a few days and recheck  the watchdog folder to see if any kernel dumps are still being generated.

Fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear that, Annette. :( Right now, just try to monitor how your system behaves — that's more important than whether Live Kernel Events occur. :thumbup2:
