I have an hp touch smart 1b-015dx it is 3 years old. It was working fine aside for the battery dying which is to be expected with an older computer but a few days ago it shut off and now it wont turn back on the only signs of life are the charging light when the ac adapter is plugged it and if i remove the battery and ac adapter and plug it back in the wifi light will turn on as if its trying to turn off then die. I have tried a hard reset multiple times also opening up the laptop and cleaning it but i dont know much about computers

HP's usually have built in diagnostics (pressing F2 at boot should get you into them).

If that doesn't help, then I'd suggest posting over in the Internal Hardware forums:    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/7/internal-hardware/

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
