Hello all,

During the last weeks I've been having trouble with some Malware.

For some reason, files like Mio.exe, BIT.exe, Winsnare/Snarer.exe keep appearing in my Programs and AppData folders, and also appear as being in execution as the task manager informs.

With this, I almost always also get a fake Chrome and Firefox install, which will promptly replace my desktop shortcuts and pose as the original ones (sometimes homepages and search engines get also swapped).

When this happens my chrome window always abruptly closes, so I always know when it's happening. In that moment I always try to kill all of the unknown processes going on the Task Manager.

I've used WIndows Defender (gave up on other free anti-virus), Malwarebtes, ADWCleaner, UnHackMe, which will delete these newly discovered files, as well as some programmed tasks and some nocive registry entries. Despite this, they always come back, and I just can't pin point whatever is triggering it.

I've attached the FRST and Addition logs. These are from moments after the "infection" taking place, as I've not yet deleted any of these files/programs (not sure if they'll be needed to find the source).

Thanks in advance!

Miguel

I needed the PC, and couldn't use it properly, so I had to re-use UnHackMe and MalwareBytes to delete the symptomes (only those unfortunately).

So, I resend the needed logs, bearing in mind that the problema itself still hides in my computer.

Also, my Chrome was compromised, and I couldn't change the homepage and search engine by myself, as it was locked; I unnistalled, but now I can run a freshly downloaded chrome installer. I'm not sure if it's related to the main problema, but I assume it is.

Thanks again

Hello NASDAQ,

Thanks for your help.

I've unistalled Unity and created the file as asked.

Regarding Chrome I was now able to install it. Thanks!

Regarding the Malware, I can't say for sure it is now 100% removed (but I would like to trust that your provided solution worked perfectly), as it kept popping every 2 or so days. If my computer gets once again flooded with Mio, Snarer and the likes, should I just reply here, or make a new post?

Once again thanks, and here is the Fixlog:
