I have been quite regularly creating Restore Points just in case my PC required a wind back.

Today I was adjusting partition sizes & eventually ran into trouble so I attempted a Restore to an earlier point.

To my surprise & annoyance it failed with the above error message.

A Google search reveals that Win10 V1607 always fails & MS knows but has not fixed this aberation.

There are a number of workarounds posted but most are quite complicated & at least one of the simpler methods (using Troubleshoot>System repair) just does not work.

So please be aware.

I wonder if anyone has found an equivalent backup/restore third party SW that works reliably?

I have tried EaseUS ToDO Backup but when I attempted the restore I was met with a baffling array of options none of which made any sense; So I was completely unable to proceed.

I await a response from EaseUS.

This is a known issue at Microsoft.  If you download and install the Windows 10 Creators Update it is suppose to resole this issue.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
