Hi

Since i installed the creator update, my pc has been randomly crashing when playing games.
It shuts down as if the power was taken and then starts up again.

Has anyone else experienced that and know how to fix it?

The games i play is league of legends and overwatch.

Hi, DragonMaster,

Does the computer hard reboot without a BSOD? There were no dump files, neither were there any records of BSODs in the Windows Error Reporting (WER) log. Suggest you uninstall all (unecessary) MSI software, even if you're not overclocking. The drivers that these MSI programs install sometimes cause BSODs/hangs.

Apart from that, I have several other suggestions:

-monitor your temps with HWMonitor
-update your BIOS and Windows (if your computer could lose power unexpectedly, please don't!)

-update your drivers from MSI's website
-run MemTest86 for a minimum of eight passes. A guide is available if you need help.
-run Seagate SeaTools for Windows. Test all your drives with the S.M.A.R.T. and Long Generic tests.
-run Prime95 (read the details in the link)
-run these remaining hardware diagnostics

Kind regards,
bwv848

Hi, yes the computer just shutsdown without any BSOD as if i pulled the power cable from it and then starts up again.

I dont think its hardware related, there were not any problems before the creator update.

Now that the files doesn't show anything i think it maybe could be the graphic driver, i run an older driver because the latest driver from nvidia has a bug there causes the computers to run in BSOD loop.

Got help on another forum where we after some tests came to that conclusion, that either the GPU or the PSU is defect, so i have sent both parts back to the store.
