Hello

Just signed up mainly because I found an item on RpcSs on the site saying it's an undesirable program. I'm running windows xp, problems with services not starting.

36 other services in the registry depending on RpcSs.

When trying to start RPC service in management console it doesnt start due to error 1069 logon failure

Is RPC service in the management console the same as RpcSs in the registry services?

Can someone help with this?
Tim

Hi Tim

Best click on the Forums tab abover to see if one exists that's already dealing with this and, if not, set up a forum of your own for others to join.  :thumbup2:

Hi Tim

> How do I set up my own forum? cant find it anywhere

 Me either. Falta mio!  I should have said set up a "topic" of your own:

1. Go to Foums again, scroll down until you come to a blue header bar you think's best.

2. In the list of topics under the heading, look for a topic you think's best.

3. If there isn't a one, then click on any of them and hit the "Start New Topic" black button the right.

> My posts never seem to be clear enough I dont get replies

Probably because of the heads up message for the "Introduction" forum:

"You should not post problems that you are having in this forum, but rather should pick another forum that best matches the category of your problem."

Keep perservering and good luck!

Kind regards, Terry

https://www.google.com/#q=+RpcSs+

Considering that XP is totally unsupported by Microsoft...and the number of known system vulnerabilities that have become recognized over the last few years...you probably don't need to concentrate on the Remote Procedure Call service, IMO.
