I stupidly bought this computer from a refurb company on ebay with good ratings.  I have had NOTHING but problems with it for the year and a half.  They may just use junk parts I don't know, I've been through 2 computers and 4-5 HDs from them before the warranty ran out.

specs:

 Win7 Pro SP 1

Intel Core Duo

DDR2 800

64 bit OS

Issues:

Initial issues with installing ALL HDs, each one took 3-4 attempts to get working properly.

Once HD was up and running EACH HD had issues with downloading Windows Updates, one would not at all.  My current HD (after hours of being on window forums) is finally installing the updates (90% of the time, sometimes it still fails or computer crashes after certain updates).

Once I get past all that nightmare the HD runs fine for say...a week or two.  But eventually EVERY HD starts BSoD on me.  They are random, sometimes I get up to 6 a day, other times I can go almost a week, they are random regarding the programs but usually it is with browsers, and I have tried EVERY browser out there.

Browser Issues:  As stated I have tried all browsers, each time I install a new one it runs perfectly for about 2 days, then eventually the browser does not load pages properly (or at all).  Clearing history has no effect.

I am getting "bad kernel errors" in the error logs.

What I have tried:

I have run a stress test for video graphics and temperature, all normal.

CPU intel test FAILS at "brand string" test and doesn't go any future.

I have run windows memory diagnostic, it ALWAYS comes back as bad.  I have 4 slots on my motherboard, have tried each stick in each slot, does not change performance or memory diagnostic fail, it fails on every stick on every slot.

I've run every virus, malware scan known to man (and I assume I couldn't be that unfortunate to get a virus on every HD I get within a week of getting it).

I have run chk disc on each HD, some came back bad sectors, so far this one has not.

I have made sure all drivers are up to date using a driver updater.

I feel it may be related to the RAM in some way as I have read that bad RAM can damage a HD but I've also read its pretty tough for ALL 4 sticks to be bad.  I can't imagine all 4 slots would be bad on the motherboard?

Any ideas?  Thanks for your time.

UPDATE:  Another thing I forgot to mention that it has started doing today is it is not loading windows properly.  I get a message that start up failed due to ramdisk not enough memory.   I have 8GB of RAM on this thing.

Boot into safe mode with networking...then do the following.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.

Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):

post-33068-0-86653600-1480692866_thumb.j

Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot.

Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the ADD REPLY or REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.

Let's move this to the Am I Infected forum for a malware check.
