Firstly, if this is the wrong forum then sorry but I didn't see one specificaly for this.
Anyway. As the title states,. I have a website with Blue Host and I set it not to auto-renew. Infact I received emails telling it was about to renew, it was about to expire, that payment could not be taken as the card now was invalid (which was true as it had expired) and the set up on the account was set not to automatically renew. So I thought it would be fine.
Not so. I was charged £102 on Friday for a renewal. I looked on my account and the renew switch had been changed to auto. There is no way that I would have done this as I did not want to it renew (I don't use the website anymore) and all payment details were invalid as well.
When I checked the invoice, under "payment method" it said "collection : sale" Now I have no idea what that means, but it definitely isn't a card payment. My previous invoice a year before said "PRIOR_AUTH_CAPTURE", which I suppose means prior authorised capture i.e. they were given authorisation from me take the payment.
The problem is I'm not sure what I can do - I have been onto Blue Host to try and find out what has happened, but so far no luck.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems ?
