I always read PDF ebooks on my iphone. Last week I bought PDFelement at $4.99 on app store to read and markup PDF.

and now I found it has gone free.

Anyway! How do you look for apps that recently have gone free?

Next time You should try some apps with same functions before you buy them.

As a lot of apps go free, they just give you some basic functions and wish you buy from "in app store".

It looks like it is free in the sense that you get a trial period of time with all the annotate, etc features, but then those features go way unless the do an In-App purchase of $4.99...the same you paid. The description does not provide details of what they mean by "trial" (i.e. how long it lasts nor what features might go aways after the trial period), so it is not completely clear what free truly gets you. In other words, it is tough to tell whether or not the free would get you what you want especially since you mentioned marking things up. So, there is a good chance that even if you had found it when it was free, you might have still had to pay the $4.99 In-App purchase.

That could be the most frustrating moment, paying for something and now the world gets it for nothing.
