Yesterday I downloaded a suspicious .exe and I stupidly executed it. Nothing happened at first but lo and behold I had new processes running in the background such as ismini, ishost and issearch. I get IE popups when I'm surfing on FireFox and the pop ups get redirected to sites such as http://amaena.com/securityworm5/se/?aid=nm...&h=&b=0 .
I've already tried to run adaware, spybot and trojancleaner in safemode, and when that didnt work I manually tried to remove the ismini.exe, ishost.exe and so on files from the computer. Yet the problem didn't go away. I did however (I think) manage to delete another spyware that came with the exe file, spywarequake.
