AdwC vanished so I tried to download / install the latest version, several times. I cannot get it to run. Clicking its icon or listing in File Explorer has no effect. I have tried Bleeping, Malwarebytes and the developer's site with the same negative results. This also happened about a year ago after an update and was eventually resolved with some modification of the program. With the change in ownership I am not clear how I get help now.

Mod Edit: Moved to Antivirus from Win 10 ~~boopme

AdwCleaner should be Run As Administrator to ensure that the program runs properly.

Thanks for your response.  I almost always run as Administrator. After many more attempts and various errors I finally got it running using Listary. More significant now is that of the 45 'threats' it reported, every one one was from among my most used and useful suites of programs such as IObit and Wise, so I had to uncheck all.

I realise now that this is another twist in the story about Malwarebytes v. others, which led to angry letters in my local UK magazine 'ComputerActive'. I had asked for help from Malwarebytes a month ago and am glad that they were entirely helpful with guidance that enabled me to resolve the issue, so I can continue to use Malwarebytes without it clashing with the other programs. I have not yet identified similar Settings for AdwC. Are there any?

You can ask the developers (fr33tux or cocochepeau) a question, report a problem or make suggestions at the official Malwarebytes AdwCleaner Forum.

That topic was for another OP using v2.104 and is over four years old...we do not recommend anyone else post there.
