Hello. I noticed that the GUI for the McAfee Total Protection antivirus app on my PC changed. Before it looked like this:

434869-mcafee-total-protection-%282017%2

Now it looks like this:

Why did this change happen? I think that maybe the creators of the McAfee antivirus app changed the GUI, and that change got applied with one of the updates. Or maybe a fake antivirus app installed itself to my computer, and hijacked the MCAfee antivirus?

Probably set as Update Antivirus and Program in your Settings.

The Image looks the same as Here http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2470334,00.asp

If still in doubt you could run Eset Online Scan / One Time Scan  https://www.eset.com/au/home/products/online-scanner/

Or you could contact - McAfee Support .

It is not uncommon for the vendor to change the look of the GUI after releasing a major update.
