How do install a vpn on Mac

Hello all i have a Macbook pro purchased used. Core i5 256gb storage, with Mac OS Sierra.

I need to know how do i install a vpn on my system.

Are you using a VPN service? If so, they should have directions for installing/setting up the VPN on your Mac.

It may depend on the VPN provider. Some use special software -- a VPN client -- that needs to be installed on the Mac. Best bet is to check with whoever the VPN service provider is.
