Hello everyone,

I'd like your advice.

What is the safest protocol to use if i perform my own installation of a VPN on a VPS ?

I have two options now

Open VPN with Ubuntu : https://anonymster.com/setup-openvpn-server-digitalocean/

L2TP on Ubuntu : https://raymii.org/s/tutorials/IPSEC_vpn_with_Ubuntu_16.04.html

what would you consider the safest protocol ? i am reading around that L2TP is not the safest but the fastest VS open VPN ?

Thx for your inputs.
