So, I'm gonna go out there and say that I THINK I almost have this problem licked. TLDR, after months and months of going around in circles and taking different suggestions, running a bunch of file cleaning, mem-checks, virus/malware/everything scans I think I've finally found the root of all my problems. I've just been staring at resource monitor like a dumbass trying to find out whats been causing the highest active time blue line thing to shoot from nothing to 100 and just hang there and proceed to freeze up my computer. Nothing triggers it, and it just happens randomly. After having to manual reset my computer for the last time, it finally occurred to me that system logs exist.

^ Basically what I assume to be the chain of events that happen right as everything locks up and freezes/hangs.

I think two of them have to do with avast (which I just installed like a day ago). I mean, I could be wrong about all of this. I'm honestly not tech savvy in the slightest. Not really sure where to go from here though.

If you can, please help. I'm pretty desperate at this point, I've almost given up on this to just get a new computer (which I have no money for) multiple times.

Sorry for the slow rep, I've been busy.

I've also come to realize all I posted above has nothing to do with anything and is just what loads up after I have to restart everytime.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah. A custom budget gaming PC, bought it from a local. Might not have been a good idea but I didn't have the money (and still dont) for anything more than a $500 range PC. It did a good job for a few years, but problems are coming up. I've had to manually power on/off today 5 times from the highest active time hitting 100% and everything in disk activity just vanishing soon after (looking at resource monitor), everything hangs and freezes up after that.

Greetings,

Unfortunately, I've just realized that this is a pirated copy of Windows 7 — you are using an OEM ACER/GATEWAY/HP key with a different motherboard. I suspect that local shop of yours cheated you. BleepingComputer's forum rules prohibit me from helping you further:

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to  remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.

If you would like help, please purchase a legitimate copy of Windows for your computer and run the Sysnative File Collection App again. Furthermore, pirated versions of Windows never function as normally.

Thank you.
