Hi ther all, this is my first post on the site, i got the link from another site and it sayed that this site is very helpful and useful.


Ok Well this is the problem, Everytime I try to start Windows Fire Wall I get this Error...

I have tryed ALMOST everything that I know of, but i still cant seem to fix it, PLZ if anyone can help me I will be forever grateful

Hi ougabooga.

Firstly, welcome to BC, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay here.

Windows Firewall only does half a job so I would recommend that you download one of the freebies here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic3616.html.

ZoneAlarm, Sygate and Kerio are particularly recommended, BUT, only run one at a time. Running without a firewall is computer suicide so download one, go offline and install it as soon as possible.

Make sure you have one good Antivirus and plenty of AntiSpyware.

I echo Rowal's excellent suggestion to avoid using the Windows firewall entirely, and download one of the serveral good (and absolutely free) firewalls the member listed. I myself use Sygate.
