Update KB4015550 is not installing. I've tried like at least 6 times. I ran the troubleshooter and it does nothing. The error it keeps spitting out is error 8000FFFF. Thanks for any help in advance.

Please go to this page and download Fix Windows Update by Ramesh Kumar and save to your Desktop.
(Click on the hard drive icon with a downward arrow).

  • Extract it to your Desktop.
  • Then, double-click on the program and click the Fix Windows Update button.
  • Reboot your computer and see if it will work now.

If the Windows update fix doesn't resolve this try reset the Windows Update Components.

Open notebook, copy and paste the code below in the notebook.

echo Simple Script to Reset / Clear Windows Update
attrib -h -r -s %windir%\system32\catroot2
attrib -h -r -s %windir%\system32\catroot2\*.*
net stop wuauserv
net stop CryptSvc
net stop BITS
ren %windir%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.old
ren %windir%\SoftwareDistribution sold.old
ren "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\application data\Microsoft\Network\downloader" downloader.old
net Start BITS
net start CryptSvc
net start wuauserv
echo Task completed successfully...

Once you have pasted this in notebook click on File and select Save as and save it as "WUReset.bat", include the quotation marks.

Right click on the batch file and select Run as administrator.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
