Hello all,

I have a custom image that I am trying to install.

To start I created this image with a VM, installed windows 7 along with all of the software that I use VNC, Office 2010, Shoretel, and a few others.  I then use the Windows AIK and extract the install.wim file.  Now here is where I have tried everything that I could imagine.  I started with injecting all the drivers for this specific machine that I am installing this on (Lenovo M900 tiny).  Tried just the usb drivers.  No matter what I have done I always get the "Windows could not configure one or more system components.  To install windows, restart the computer and then restart the installation."  I even went as far as recreating my VM and doing this all over again to no avail.  I am really racking my brain on this one.  Google search for this issue comes up with a ton of different issues to which I have tried them all.

I have an image that I created 6 months ago that works.  I am just trying to create a fresh image because of all the Intel crap not supporting windows 7 on newer chips.  I am open to try anything at this point.  Could someone please help me!!

Thanks

EDIT: I forgot to mention this happens at the Completing Installation step

Hi,

I'm don't have experience with this but did you follow the Microsoft recommendations? https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee523217%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

Edit: By the way Intel have a tool https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility to "inject" the USB 3 drivers to the Windows 7 install disk that solve the problem of missing keyboard and mouse during install on machines that only have usb3 ports.

Yes this is where I got most of my information on how to do this.  The image that I have from 6 months ago is how I made this one as well.
