On fresh boot this morning, desktop settings are all out of whack.  Sizes have changed, some of shortcut icon are hidden behind status bar etc.

Any chance I've caught a virus to do this?  On the "VIEW" screen, selecting small icons doesn't make them small.  How to start?

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance
