I'm trying to do an upgrade repair of a Windows Vista Home Basic (32 bit) SP2 OS. I immediately get an error message -

The system partition (S:) does not have enough free space. ... Error Code:0x80070070

S: is the Lenovo recovery partition. Windows Vista is installed on C:

From command prompt, echo list volume | diskpart gives 3 volumes (excluding DVD)

Volume 1 S System

Volume 2 C Boot

Volume 3 Q

Not sure how to continue from here.

Thanks for telling us how you solved the problem, even though it means a fair bit of work for you.
