Every time I try to click on and open a program I get the "view and track your downloads" box. When I click on run it just flashes and won't run. All of the icons have the IE logo. I do not use IE and can't get Firefox to open.

Have you tried to do a virus scan in Safe Mode ?

You said you don't use IE.

Have you disabled it in Programs & Features ?
